I confess. I laughed.

City adds 3-year old Chihuahua to its Dangerous Dog registry.

Maybe if we do more of this, owners of vicious little punt-me dogs will learn that NO IT IS NOT CUTE OR OKAY for your dog to growl, snarl, bark, snap, or bite. Just because they can't maul a person to death doesn't mean their behavior isn't aggressive and some of those little bastards are downright VICIOUS.

Belatedly, I'm glad to see this. I remember an episode of "It's Me or the Dog" where the owner of this small breed dog was fighting with his girlfriend (or boyfriend, it escapes me which it was) over the fact that his dog was scarily vicious. And possessive. It was one of those dogs that would snarl at you if you tried to come near Her Person, which understandably caused tension in the relationship. She would also challenge, chase, and snap at other dogs when they walked down the street. People were afraid to visit his house, because of this dog. And he had the same mindset - it was a small dog, so people shouldn't be afraid.

I do like the comment on the article where one person points out that people are blaming the teen girl because she kicked the dog, but ignoring the fact that if she'd bent down to shoo the dog away with her hands, it could easily have been her hands or face that got bitten rather than her leg. Since, you know, the dog had outright charged the group of girls already.
